My therapist told me today that I need to be creating the joy that I want in my job and not waiting for it to materialize. So today I got myself invited to a conference at a Colorado ski resort and will be talking to my boss about wanting to be involved in the China trip next year. Since I am currently learning Chinese I should be in a good position to go. I am more excited about China than the ski resort as I don’t down hill ski. I’m not dying like Sonny Bono face first into a tree. I can however sit in front of a fire drinking beer. I also like to do cross country. China would just rock. Our business partners are buddhist and eat vegan so I wouldn’t have to worry about the food. Also, I work with several Chinese people who I swear are more excited about my learning Mandarin than I am. I have been given gifts of a dictionary and CDs as well as help with my studies. Let’s hope it works out. I wonder how the Chinese feel about body mods?
